Depending on how you investigate, the divorce rate will determine the results. Some data will show that the divorce rates have increased and others will show a decrease. The data is not always accurate, but rest assured it is fairly correct. This all depends on who is reporting the data and collecting the data. For the most part, the divorce rate is at 50%. Each time you remarry, the divorce rate for your group will go up. For instance, second time marriages have a 67% divorce rate, and if you try for a third time, your divorce rate will rise to 74%.

Some say the divorce rate is at a decline. This is thanks in most part to couples realizing that they can not financially make it on one income. In return, they try to stay together and make the marriage work. This sometimes is enough to save the marriage. One thing that is very shocking to find out is that people who claim to be devout followers of their faith are not immune from divorce. The divorce rate in conservative Christians is much higher than those who do not even believe in some form of a higher power.
